Description
🐄 Julia Creek, QLD – ASAP to December 2026, plus April 2027 – Station caretaker – Paid position
A working cattle station located approximately 20 km west of Julia Creek, Queensland is looking for a reliable caretaker to help maintain the homestead and surrounding properties.
The position is available as soon as possible through to December 2026, with another period of work available from April 2027 for at least one month.
There is also the option to stay on through the wet season if that suits the right person.
The role
Duties will include:
✅ Watering and mowing around three house areas
✅ Maintaining the grassed area around the dam
✅ Swimming pool maintenance, including checking levels, cleaning the pool cleaner basket and skimmer box, and topping up water as required
✅ Feeding and watering the pig each day
✅ Completing bore runs across three properties within approximately a 100 km radius of the home base
✅ General caretaking and keeping an eye on the property
Accommodation
Applicants with their own caravan or accommodation are preferred, although this is not essential and other arrangements may be available for the right person.
Extra paid work available
There may also be additional work available for someone with experience in:
✅ Grader operation
✅ Prickle bush spraying
✅ Painting
✅ Building or general construction
✅ Other practical station work
